Our mission has always been simple: provide families across Vancouver with halal meat that they can trust while giving back to the community. As a local butcher, we care about more than just the cuts we sell. We also care about the people we serve, the farmers we work with, and the experience our customers have with our products. 

Every step, from sourcing to butchering to delivery is guided by this purpose.

From Friends to a Community Butcher

Karavan Meats began with three friends who shared the same problem: finding halal, high-quality, fairly priced meat in Vancouver wasn’t as easy as it should be. Instead of settling, we look for the solution ourselves.

Our name, Karavan, is inspired by the historic caravans that traveled between Asia and Europe, carrying food, culture, and connection from place to place. And that’s exactly what we hope to bring to our community.

As co-founder, Mostafa Azarbar puts it:
“As immigrants in Canada, we want our community to explore the meats and marinades that remind them of home and share that experience with others.”
